Mr. Bob Sims of WeeGee Board Construction just completed a major renovation on our kitchen that involved removal of a load bearing wall, relocation of plumbing and the addition of several new electrical curcuits in our 50+ year old house. To say we are pleased is an understatement. Bob's initial estimate for the work was in the middle of other estimates we received for the same work and based on the reviews here, we decided to work with him and are very glad we did. Bob kept us informed every step of the way and was able to share design ideas with us that worked beautifully. He always returned phone calls promptly. His oversight of the sub-contractors was excellent as was the work of the sub-contractors. The work was on time and the contract price was spot on. The only extras were for items we wanted to upgrade. In short, we now have a beautiful kitchen and open concept first floor and I would not hesitate to recommend WeeGee Board Construction and Bob Sims and would definitely use them again.

My wife and I have hired Wee Gee Board Construction for two major projects (attic and basement) in the last three years. The quality of work and professionalism remains top notch. They are very price competitive. Our only critique is that it took them one week longer than they estimated; not a big deal as both projects were in nonfrequented contained areas. If we had another project, we would hire them a third time. James

I really can't say enough good things about Bob Sims and WeeGee Board Construction. I'd had a mediocre experience with another contractor on a previous renovation; I hoped for better than just mediocre on this renovation, but after hearing friends' and family members' horror stories, I wondered if it was even possible to have a great experience with a contractor. I first found Bob here on Checkbook and thought he must be too good to be true. It turns out he's the real deal -- friendly, honest, experienced, and skilled. Plus, his estimate was quite reasonable (and about a third less than the estimate I got from the mediocre contractor). Bob was great about keeping me informed; work was always done when he said it would be. Bob was great with my dogs and cat as well -- he even helped me out one time and let the dogs out when I was detained at work. I really can't recommend Bob Sims and WeeGee Board highly enough; I can’t wait until I’m ready to do another renovation so I can work with Bob again!

Bob Sims and his teams did a fine job on 2 projects -- modest remodeling of an old bathroom that required some creative refitting of fixtures, and insulation removal and installation. The projects were clearly and reasonably priced, completed on budget, on time and very neatly. Bob and his team were professional and pleasant throughout clearly explaining everything they did and passing along useful pointers about the process and products. He's at the top of our list for any future work.

Bob Sims, his staff, and his subcontractors were all first rate and did a great job. Sims takes pride in the work the company does and is a perfectionist. Although the project took slightly longer than planned (due to weather), my wife and I loved the result! For hassle-free and competitive priced contracting, call WeeGee Board Construction.

Bob Sims (WeeGee Board Construction)and his team of subs are first rate. We used WGBC at a new-to-us older house that needed some fixes: removal of a wall of built-ins in 3 rooms with addition of new walls, insulation install; powder room floor and fixture replacement; wood floor patch; and painting of the interior of entire house. Bob attends to details, his teams clean up every day and arrive at the specified time. Estimates are clear with no surprises and are competitive or better than other estimates. No question that Bob is the man we will call for our future projects.

My wife and I recently contracted WeeGee Board Construction to renovate our basement. It was stuck in 1970s wood paneled purgatory and was always temperately cold no matter the season. This was the first big remodel that we have embarked on and we are extremely pleased that we went with Bob. We were initially unsure of what we exactly wanted to do, but knew that we did not have a tremendous amount of money to spend. Bob had some great ideas and was willing to work with us no matter our budget. His estimate (which included two subcontractors) was spot on and the only reason that we exceeded it was due to our last minute add-ons. The contractors that he used were respectful, clean and got the job done right and on time. I have heard all of the horror stories involving subcontractors and how homeowners are frequently left holding the bag when a dispute arises, but any fear I had of this happening quickly disappeared as it was clear that Bob was extremely hands on with the managing of all of the work. I really felt like Bob was our advocate any time any issues arose. Bob always called when he said he would check in and was here when he said he would be here. His work as a carpenter is second to none, with his attention to detail being one of his greatest assets. We feel like we have added a new level onto our home. Everyone who has seen the work has been impressed, and it no longer feels like a cold, dark basement. I never would have imagined that the work would come out this well. We could not be happier with the work that he did, and we will not hesitate to contact Bob with all of our future renovation needs! A+++++.
P.S. He is also a good guy. Very easy to get along with and bounce ideas off of. Gave me some great pointers in my own DIY projects!
